Rose-breasted Grosbeak (life-size) The Rose-breasted Grosbeak is portrayed in breeding plumage. The bright red bib is a sparkling accent with its formal black and white attire. The bird is made of tupelo wood and acrylic paints. It sits atop a piece a bayberry root found along the shores of the Delaware Bay. The base I turned for this piece is butternut wood.
